Mission Statement

Mighty Minds Enrichment Center (MMEC) mission is to provide high quality education and childcare in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that builds a foundation for life-long learning.
Our goal is to support and nurture the children’s and our own natural desire to be life-long learners. We are committed to the families we serve, providing support and encouragement.

Our Vision is a community where all children feel loved, respected, and encouraged to develop to their fullest potential.

The Mighty Minds Foundation is a subsidiary of MMEC. The foundations’ mission is to provide stimulating experiences which promote youth social/emotional, physical, and cognitive development through exposure to STEM education, mentoring and the Arts.

History

The Mighty Minds Enrichment Center was founded by Beverly V. Eddy in 2013. The center started with only 1 classroom of 5 children. There are now 6 classrooms and more than 75 children and counting. Their goal is to support children’s desire to be life-long learners.  They aim to provide a stimulating and educational experience which promotes each child’s social, emotions, physical and cognitive development.

Building Mighty Minds is our Business! Their goal is to support children’s desire to be life-long learners. Mighty Minds Enrichment Center exists to provide a safe, developmentally appropriate environment for preschool and school age children. The focus is to provide a stimulating and educational experience which promotes each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. We specialize in childcare for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old, and we also offer before and aftercare for children 4-12 years old.

Patnership

In February 2020, black history month, The Harbor City Maryland Chapter of Society Incorporated partnered with MMEC to present “ROSA’s RIDE”

A musical dramatization about the life of Civil Rights Activist Rosa Parks. Original music written and directed by Jonathan Luks with Flying Ship Productions.

“Bringing Broadway to Mitchellville”
